A Little Bit About Me

A lifelong resident of Connecticut, I received my Bachelors Degree from Rutgers University and my Juris Doctorate Degree in Law from Quinnipiac University.  I then went on to work in private practice as a general practioner, focusing on family, juvenile, personal injury law.  I also took on many pro-bono cases to assist people in desperate need of  legal representation, but having neither the means nor the resources to ensure their rights were protected.
I then represented the interests of the State of Connecticut for over ten years as an Assistant Attorney General.   While working in the Attorney General's  Office, I provided legal advice on a number of issues to state agencies.  I reviewed, drafted and negotiated hundreds of state contracts, helping to initiate important state projects, while safeguarding the expenditure of over a quarter of a billion dollars in state funds annually.  Additionally, I worked in the area of child protection and helped to safeguard minor children from abuse and neglect by successfully litigating scores of cases involving severe physical and psychological injuries inflicted upon children.  I  also litigated a number of  environmental enforcement cases, which civilly prosecuted violators of our environmental laws.

My professional life has come full circle, and I'm thrilled to once again represent and counsel individual clients.   I whole-heartedly missed helping people on a personal level.

MY APROACH TO PRACTICING

LAW

Trust is the foundation of every great relationship, and an essential ingredient in building a successful partnership between a lawyer and a client.   But trust needs to be earned.  By providing people with honest, accessable and knowledgeable representation, I strive to gain your confidence and meet or exceed their expectations.

From the beginning to the end of each case, I work personally with every client.  Compassionately and without judgment, I seek to know each client on a personal level.  This understanding of my client's individual goals and needs allows me to tailor an effective strategy for their case.
